Yes. The ProLaunch comes with 3 specially marked golf balls. This is critical to the accuracy of the unit.
We've been asked about consumers marking their own balls. We do not have a template or setup for this to be done. We used printed golf balls to ensure the accuracy of the markings. The size of the dots and offset patterns are vital to the accuracy of the data. With that said, if you can replicate this on your own - they will work.
We didn't design this to sell golf balls, so simply wanted to be sure there was a way for the consumer to ensure the accuracy of the device.
